Which one was it?because since the storm formed they have been telling , 105 million people in the path of the , "storm of the century!!!!" never before has a storm formed so early in the season! it's gonna come ashore a cat 5! Texas is flat a drop of water and it floods, just like ALL the Politian's they piss all the money away on social programs and NEVER build for bad weather. HELL 3 weeks a go or there abouts, Houston had heavy rains and it flooded, They are very dry in Texas just like else where in the west, do the idiots in charge do anything about capturing any of the water in reservoirs? No they stand there as it drains into the gulf and then bitch about no water. I sat thru a FORCE 5 TYPOON IN Okinawa in the 70's, Winds in excess of 200 mph , In a Quonset hut. Thats a storm. this was an over hyped nothing burger!
You're getting your wish, Butch!Jackie, I sure hope that some of that rain makes it north to us. Be careful.
It’s 9:30 in the morning, I would say we are at the height of the storm. It is moving fast, which is great, less chance of flooding.
Power is out, but our generator is running, as fast as this thing is moving, it might be over by noon.
Considering how bad this storm looked out in the open Gulf, as far as hurricanes go, this one is pretty mild as it hit the upper Gulf Coast.
I did not hear once the forecasted storm going into Houston was to be anyplace near a CAT 5 and definitely not a storm of the Century. It was an early storm. You must be getting your news from some sort of extremist cable outlet. None of the legitimate news organizations indicated what you're saying.because since the storm formed they have been telling , 105 million people in the path of the , "storm of the century!!!!" never before has a storm formed so early in the season! it's gonna come ashore a cat 5! The entire greater Houston Metro area is basically a reclaimed swamp. It’s the arm pit of the United States.I did not hear once the forecasted storm going into Houston was to be anyplace near a CAT 5 and definitely not a storm of the Century. It was an early storm. It was a serious storm that caused flooding and over 2 million people lost power.
You don't live anyplace near Houston do you? Houston gets rain fairly often and floods somewhat frequently. Texas has dry areas and it has areas that get rain often too. It's a big state and has all kinds of weather.
I have no idea what politics have to do with this storm.
I have relatives who live there, and yes, they are involved with the oil industry which has been nice to them. The entire greater Houston Metro area is basically a reclaimed swamp. It’s the arm pit of the United States.
Everytime somebody pours a concrete slab, it makes the flooding a little worse.
The only legitimate reason to live here is it is a great place to make a living.
been a long, long, time ago in a land far, far, away. I don't even know if they named them in Jaspan, back then.Which one was it?
I’d be checking with her contacts in Houston… still over 1.5 million without power! My son’s business in downtown Houston just had power restored…I hope it moves on and everything’s OK for all your sakes. And my daughter is going there tomorrow for work.
I think that had a hint of tongue in cheek.......I did not hear once the forecasted storm going into Houston was to be anyplace near a CAT 5 and definitely not a storm of the Century. Our Shop is on generator power, but it’s only a 150KW unit, it will run enough to keep some men busy.I’d be checking with her contacts in Houston… still over 1.5 million without power! My son’s business in downtown Houston just had power restored…
