Die Storage suggestions?

I'm looking for storage ideas for my reloading dies. A LONG time ago, I converted my Rock Chucker to use Hdy Lock N Load bushings, which I REALLY like. Unfortunately, it makes the die too big to fit back into the original storage box. Here I am 20 years later with several different dies sets trying to keep track of them all (and failing). To make things a little worse, my sets range from a simple 2 die pistol set, to my collection of 5 or 6 (and growing) different .223 dies, several of which include Redding competition seating dies. I'm thinking about building some kind of custom box or rack that could contain them and keep them organized. Before I went through the effort, I figured I'd check here to see if anyone had already solved a similar problem.

Thanks,
Mark

I was going to comment but I decided not to.

I try to save the boxes that they originally come in but my dad’s collection frequently has sets in cigar boxes with labels on the end. I asked him where he got the boxes (as he has never smoked anything) and he told me that he simply walked into a cigar shop and asked for some empty boxes.

I took a decent length of 2x4 and cut it to the length needed to hold my dies, which are also in the Hornady L&L bushings. Drill the necessary amount of holes I needed and to the depth needed to hold them in line.
Then marked the front edge of the wood to show which die was in that line up.
Give it a couple coats of stain or clear sealer and placed it on a shelf above the bench, to where I can reach up and grab the die/s of choice that I am loading. Works well and I keep the boxes in a drawer below the bench.

I have for years bought appropriate sized small plastic storage boxes that stack from dollar General/WalMart etc. Add label and done. Inexpensive and they work well.

I use a jalapeño pepper grill rack (stainless steel) I bought at the grocery store. Not sure if it will work with the adapters, plenty of room for standard 7/8"x 14 dies.

Amazon link to some of them so you can see what I am describing. Looks good on the reloading bench

Hope this helps.

I bought rectangular plastic storage containers from Harbor Freight. they are about 10"x14"x1.5" with defined rows, and adjustable compartments separable by inserts. I, too, use the Hornady LNL bushings, and my dies fit just fine. I used a label maker to label the end of the container as to what caliber(s) are in it, and then on the top, I label the compartment's die. I stack the containers - good use of shelf space. It's been awhile, but if memory serves me, each container was around $5

Hmmm... Lots of good ideas to think about. I was thinking of something a little more stackable to keep on a shelf when not in use. I was board, so I drew something up that I think I could make out of some oak if I get board this winter.
