Just out of curiosity, from a pure accuracy standpoint, what would you go with? Short range 1-200 yards. The 222 rem or a slow twist 6br?

I thought about this as well. Does Lapua even make 222rem brass anymore?Tough choice, does finding components come into play
Suspended like their 223.I thought about this as well. Does Lapua even make 222rem brass anymore?
Get on one of each? That's easier said than done. Buy one of each? That'll probably happened anyway. HahaA very simple solution, get on of each or a couple of each.
I have no doubt it is, but I have a 30BR. I'm out of the business of monkeying around with brass. I just want to load to the best of my ability and shoot.Neither, a 22 waldog is by far the most accurate rifle I've ever shot. Owned by a member here Jon, I thought he wanted too much for it and decided to let him wait some. He sold out form under me to a lady in the neighborhood, who used it to humble here son who thought his tacticool rifles would outshoot anything.
What's the brass life looking like on the 222 anyway?Suspended like their 223.
That being said 100 rounds of Lapua would last a LONG time.
ExactlyIf 200 yds is max distance, 222 for low recoil and economy of components. Good bullets for either caliber. 6BR May have an edge in the wind at 200 but that, may be negated by the shooter.
Forever, Ive used a few brands, only one I didn’t get along with was Herters. Lapua is my favorite for sure but I also have Starline, Norma, Remington, Winchester and PPU, some of that brass has been with me for a couple decades and has 20+ firings on it. I don’t redline my 222s, I’m usually one node under the top node, brass lasts a long time. The Lapua brass is nice but Norma and Starline aren’t far behind. What's the brass life looking like on the 222 anyway?
