Keep My Wife Marilyn In Your Thoughts And Prayers

Prayers sent , I hope our Lord and Saviour heals her body. I had shoulder surgery and it made back surgery a breeze. My surgeon warned me it was one of the most painful surgery there is so I know what it feels like. God Bless your family !

Marlyn has read all of the the replies on this Thread, and it is a great encouragement.

As long as she can keep that left shoulder completely immobile, the pain is almost bearable. But that is easier said than done.just shifting her body in the chair to get comfortable can be an ordeal.

Keep in mind, that bone is still just laying in there, and that titanium ball is kinda lodged in the muscles.

Her doctor says the ninth is still on to get in there to fix it all. until then, she is just going to have to bear it.

I always remember what "Humble Henry" Rivers said after his shoulder surgery: " I didn't realize that my shoulder was connected to my entire body, even moving my big toe hurts." With Marilyn's situation I can't imagine what she is going through. My thoughts and prayers are with y'all. Sure hope they can manage a good reconstruction with a good outcome for her. God bless

About 5 weeks ago I made a post that my Wife had a complete shoulder replacement on her left shoulder rotator cuff.

The Administrator took the thread down, I guess because I posted a picture of the XRay.

She was doing great, was in her 5th week of recovery, But early Tuesday morning she slipped, fell, and came down on the new left shoulder.!!

It destroyed everything. The titanium ball on the bone broke off, and it fractured the upper shoulder blade.

She is now in for several months of pain and discomfort. The surgeon said that due to swelling and inflammation, it will be two weeks before he can go in and repair the damage. The new repair will have to be a reverse shoulder, that being the ball mounted in the shoulder blade and the cup attached to the bone.

In the mean time, she has to keep the shoulder totally immobile, as the bone is just laying in there along with the titanium ball.
Best wishes and prayers for you both Jackie!

ya'll are in our thoughts.
Side note, Guerramo called this morning from Mexico. Had a great talk with him catching up on his journeys.

She came through the repair surgery with no complications.
Her Surgeon said everything is back in place, no complications.

It’s just going to be about a 2 month time frame in the sling, then rehab.

I stopped at Gallery Furniture two nights ago and got a nice lift reclining chair. it will come in handy, heck, I’m probably not that far from needing it myself:)
