Bummer! The wife and I have you both in our thoughts.
Very Sorry to hear this and best wishes for her recoveryAbout 5 weeks ago I made a post that my Wife had a complete shoulder replacement on her left shoulder rotator cuff.
The Administrator took the thread down, I guess because I posted a picture of the XRay.
She was doing great, was in her 5th week of recovery, But early Tuesday morning she slipped, fell, and came down on the new left shoulder.!!
It destroyed everything. The titanium ball on the bone broke off, and it fractured the upper shoulder blade.
She is now in for several months of pain and discomfort. The surgeon said that due to swelling and inflammation, it will two weeks before he can go in and repair the damage. The new repair will have to be a reverse shoulder, that being the ball mounted in the shoulder blade and the cup attached to the bone.
In the mean time, she has to keep the shoulder totally immobile, as the bone is just laying in there along with the titanium ball.
I can’t even imagine how tuff that would be. We know you have her in the best care possible down there, and tell her we’re all pulling for her.If the administrator wishes to take this down, that is his prerogative.
Here is the XRay taken Wednesday. You can imagine how painful
