Yes Sir. This is that load data. That should defiantly do the job.
I'm sure there is but if that is what you want I'd tell JGS to make this reamer in the neck diameter for your unturned brass with the neck clearance you want.Is there such thing as a “no turn” 30BR reamer?
That was my thought, too. I’ve been looking at that print a lot. I just kind of want one because I think it would be a hilarious little cartridge.I'm sure there is but if that is what you want I'd tell JGS to make this reamer in the neck diameter for your unturned brass with the neck clearance you want.
Here ya go folks - for a 30BR reamer, it won't get any better than this.
Simply call, or, e-mail JGS, and order 30BR ROBINETT V2 (for Robinett version 2). Though this may prove neither better, nor worse, than reamers featuring other dimensions, it will certainly prove excellent! If wanting a new 30BR reamer, this is exactly what I'd order.:D No more messing about...forum.accurateshooter.com
It's not a great long range cartridge but I've never seen anything as easy to tune and make shoot as a 30BR or 30 Major. Those little 30's are just phenomenally accurate and forgiving. Other than a tad bit of recoil, it's just hard to find a big flaw with either one. The biggest difference between those is, of course a BR fits a BR bolt face and the Major fits a PPC bolt face and has a tad smaller capacity but not enough to drive any big changes for better or worse, IMHO. They both flat shoot and are a great choice to learn with, especially in regard to tuning. Nothing I've ever seen tunes as easily. It's kinda hard(seemingly) to make one not shoot. I agree with you. I've never seen anything as easy to tune as the 30BR. From what I had seen from my 700 BR rifle I knew my Model 7 Hunter would be a shooter but I had no idea it would shoot as accurate as it does. I have to give credit to my builder O D C R (WSMNUT) here on the site for these and many other jobs well done. It's not a great long range cartridge but I've never seen anything as easy to tune and make shoot as a 30BR or 30 Major. What are you hunting with the model 7 and at what range? I have kicked around the idea of building one for hunting.I agree with you. I've never seen anything as easy to tune as the 30BR. Are you saying he just opened the neck portion a few thou to make a tight neck 6br into a no turn 6br or that he made a 30br out of it? Not possible unless you mean as a fire forming bbl. Please elaborate. Thanks! My smith necked up 2 good 6mm br barrels to no turn . I don't believe he did anything to the chamber.
If you're considering such a thing, I'd encourage you to start a thread specifically about that in this section. There's a lot to consider before making that step.Is there such thing as a “no turn” 30BR reamer?
Kelbly’s has one that yields a .332 neck. I think you’d still want to do a light/partial neck turn - but you wouldn’t need to…Is there such thing as a “no turn” 30BR reamer?
