^^^^^^^ me either, maybe I should.I don’t….. maybe I should?
It's a GOOD thing to do since the annealing leaves an abrasive oxidation coating on the surfaces of the neck. I don't brush because I vibrate tumble with rice after sizing, which takes care of that nicely.Hello everyone I was wondering, do you brush inside necks after annealing (AMP)? If so what are you using to brush?
Oops - insert annealing step after recapping and before first cleaning. Using EP v2 flame annealer while on wait list for Amp AnnealerI do, brass caliber brush one stroke down & out. Then mop one stroke down and back.
My brass prep:
Decapping w dedicated decapping die
Cleaning in rice w Dillon vibratory unit
Put Brass in ziplock, one shot lube, move around in sealed bag
Empty brass into container and let vapor flash off
Full length resize (Area419 Zero Press / A419 M Die)
Cleaning in separate batch of rice (used only for de-lubing
Trim with Giraud trimmer
Brush/mop neck
Prime (Primal Rights CPS)
Charge (AnD FX120 AutoTrickler v4)
Seat (Amp inline press Wilson seater die)
Lotta work but works for me. SDs in 5-6 range using alpha munitions ocd brass.

brushing prevents neck and tooth decay.I don’t. Should I? I don’t know.
I have a bench drill press I just put a nylon barrel cleaning brush in it and turn it on very fast don’t take long to do a hundred or more.I use dry neck lube in a Forster brush kit, so, everything gets brushed before sizing. Take case from block, lube body, dip over the brush in the neck lube, and into the die. Used that process for 40+ years and never had a stuck case yet. To get rid of issues with the odd case getting sticky on the expander ball, even though the dry lube was applied, went to mandrel expanders after sizing, they get another dip over the brush doing that too.
