22Lr at 200 yards

I was talking to a guy other day, and he said a guy he worked with had been shooting 22lr matches at steel from 50 to 200 yards. And that got me thinking wonder how many moa would have to come up from a 50th yrd. Zero to be on at 200? And yes I know there’s a lot of variables but say with match ammo which runs around 1100 fps what would you think a ballpark figure would be? Just curious nothing in stone I’m not a rimfire shooter

Here are some tough numbers for fun. 40gr CCI at 1100fps (MOA)
50y zero, 3.0 wind
100y -7.1, 5.5 wind
200y -26.6, 10.1 wind
300y -51.2, 14.4 wind

I have a Vudoo with a 20” MTU contour barrel and with a 50 yard zero shooting SK Long range match ammo I’m
6 MOA up at 100 yards
And 241/4 MOA at 200 yards

You should try it. I find it very entertaining and a 100 rounds will keep me entertained all afternoon.

I've seen 300 yard shooting with a 22LR being compared to a centerfire rifle at 1000 yards.

It's a lot of fun for a lot less money.

Why not? Not that hard. I have shot my .22 out to 550 yards. The wind makes it tricky but it's fun.

Is there not a problem when the bullet goes subsonic which I figured would before 2-250. Haven shot much rimfire in a long time

The bullet is leaving the barrel subsonic.

Takes me roughly 95 MOA to get to 500 from a 50y zero with SK LRM. Dial 60 MOA on the Venom, and use the 35 MOA hash line on the reticle. You should see guys face at the range when I tell them I'm shooting a 22 LR at 500 and they hear a little ding on the 20" plate. Good times hahaha.

Takes 26.9 mils to get to 500 for me. Luckily I have a scope that can dial it all. It's definitely fun.

Back in the day, the NRA Smallbore rulebook use to have a COF @ 200 yards. It hasn't been shot in a long time. I actually have a case of the targets.

I definitely recommend trying it, it’s a lot of fun and they can be surprisingly accurate at 200 yards. Our local rimfire prs matches are from 50-450 yards with average target distance being in the 180-220 area I would guess. Multiple targets at 280+

I would like to try it sounds like fun I just got an old 22 Winchester can remember model. But anyways what’s a good accurate 22 out there on the market?

Cz 457 is incredible,
Followed by tikka and bergara tend to shoot pretty well.

If your looking at stepping up, vudoo and rimx are amazing
