Greys and the 17VHA

I don't post many hunt pics here, but had a great experience last week and maybe some can draw from it. I've worked with the 17 VHA ( 4.6x30 necked down to 172 ) and my own slight reamer change, the 17 HK for years. Used them almost exclusively on PD's and GS's. Mine are slightly heavier rifles for bench work....Quite enamored with the performance and efficiency and lack of recoil. My 221FB seems obscene after a 200 round stretch with these rifles, lol.

A good friend and fellow member here was kind enough to loan me his 17VHA walking varminter and I had a ball calling Greys in an undisclosed part of TX. ;)

300MP , a pinch of 8.8grs worth slings a 20gr Zmax at 3450fps, and it just about perfect for these little critters. Have wanted to hunt them for years and finally made the time.

Got 12 total, ended up picking up 8 for pics and some furs, it's SO nice to have stuff come in with abandon on a regular basis, versus the number one dry stands one endures when calling yotes. I hit a few low as they were closer than I was sighted in for, but with a centered shoulder shot, I had zero fur damage. Which it what I prefer, what a great night!

I guess there is no stupid question, but where do get brass or make brass?..

How about dies?..
Granted, this is the second time I see anyone post on this cartridge.

And excuse my ignorance.

I have had my dies for years, Superior Ballistics used to carry them. Pretty sure Lee can make you a set. I also have a Redding die. I have a Lee Collet Neck Sizing die I had made also. I can use it for 4-5 firings before I even have to use the regular die.

Once fired brass used to be readily available, you can always buy Fiocchi 4.6x30 ammo and pull the bullets. I have a good stockpile of brass that I have been collecting over the years. Seller and Beloit make it also.
