Is it true that of these 100s of shooters not one is shooting Tactical?
Or am I missing it in the results?
A whole lot better than last year.Weather looks nice
No question and it’s also the best ran you will find.Would you guys say this is the biggest event in the country for F-Class and F-tr?
It's been a full class for a couple years. It's not an actual class for NRA tournaments.
Its really far away from me, and I do not compete in anything, but I have always wanted to goto something huge like this.No question and it’s also the best ran you will find.
Maybe at your local club - it's never been an actual class in the NRA rules. It's been a full class for a couple years.
Although it started out on a provisional basis, I thought it had been "official" for a couple years now. In fairness however, National Records are not yet allowed/recorded, so that may just be my perception and not "official". Its full title is "NRA Midrange (Prone) Tactical Rifle (AR)". So it's designated as a midrange event only, not long range, and characterized in the Highpower Rules as effectively being an additional rifle type within Highpower shooting. It would have been appropriate to include this class into the SW Nationals MR event. It has caught on well in some places, not so well in others.Maybe at your local club - it's never been an actual class in the NRA rules.
They're probably counting some mail-in score sheetsstill no final results for f-open?
"NRA Midrange (Prone) Tactical Rifle (AR)".
I wasn't advocating for or against its inclusion, merely pointing out that in fact it IS officially recognized by the NRA, which you stated wasn't the case. @kzin described it correctly and you knew exactly what he was referring to. Your "opinion" on whether it should be included at National level matches was already obvious, but that's not your call.If that's what he's referring to, then he should have clarified beyond just 'tactical'. Lots of clubs have a 'tacticool' class to pander to the PRS/NRL crowd.
No records, no long range, no place at a major national level Registered tournament.
