I wouldn’t trust the USPS to hit the ground after they trip and fall. Malice is unnecessary when an organization displays such a towering level of incompetence.Ups will screw it up on purpose.
Use the USPS.
That's a long heated thread, all by itself. Are you shipping to a licensee or are you using one on your end? Either way, aske one or both of them what they prefer. I use usps a lot but not around Christmas! Is there a preferred firearms shipper?
Yes, that's the way I understand their newish policy, too. That's enough reason to boycott them anyway. Clearly, they don't want the business. Don't disappoint them.Per UPS site, "Shipments containing Firearm Products are accepted for transportation only from shippers who are federally licensed and have an approved UPS agreement for the transportation of Firearm Products."

USPS policies don't mean crap, because if a USPS employee doesn't want to follow them, or know them, THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO. NOTHING And USPS is full of ignorant employees who wanna do whatever the hell they feel like, and if you point out their policy to them, you're more likely to get a postal inspector with a knee in your back than successfully get them to do what their policy says.USPS Policy
Section 432.2 (Handguns) states, "Handguns and other firearms capable of being concealed on the person are nonmailable unless mailed between the parties listed in this section." The rest of the section details who is allowed to ship handguns USPS.
Section 432.3 (Rifles and Shotguns) part d states, "Rifles and shotguns may be mailed by a non-FFL owner domestically to a FFL dealer, manufacturer, or importer in any state. These items must be mailed using a class of mail, product, or Extra Service that provides tracking and signature capture at delivery."
"The mailer may be required by the USPS to establish, by opening the parcel or by written certification, that the rifle or shotgun is unloaded and not ineligible for mailing."
Also: "A rifle or shotgun owned by a non-FFL may be mailed outside the owner‘s state of residence by the owner to himself or herself, in care of another person in the other state where he or she intends to hunt or engage in any other lawful activity. These mail pieces must:
- Be addressed to the owner.
- Include the “in the care of” endorsement immediately preceding the name of the applicable temporary custodian.
- Be opened by the rifle or shotgun owner only.
- Be mailed using a class of mail, product, or Extra Service that provides tracking and signature capture at delivery.

I am not an attorney or an FFL but I do like to show off my copy/paste skills; items may not have been copied/pasted in original order.
