Looking for a red dot for .500 S&W BFR Revolver

I decided that I would like to get a Red Dot for my .500 S&W BFR Revolver. Have looked at some videos however, they leave me with more questions than information. I am looking to purchase an Ultra Dot 4 thought from the collective any other suggestions. I was going to purchase a Leupold FX-II handgun scope. A bud had one on his 44 Mag and I did not like the magnification along with the narrow view, the eye relief was ok but not very good when you need a quick shot.

What type of mount will you be using? I have a Holosun 508 red dot on a Picatinny adapter for sale. I have also heard good things about the Aimpoint 9000 series, but you'll need rings or a 1-piece mount.

I did look at the Aimpoints and they are too rich for my blood. A bud had an Ultradot4 on his BFR 45/70 and the company recommends them for the large bore revolvers under 300 bucks.

Agree. They also have good customer service from what I've heard.

Used a ultradot 30mm on my ruger 454 casull for couple years. It was good! No issues, held zero. Lots of recoil. Killed a couple deer with it. Shot good groups to 100 yrd despite being a 4 moa dot i think. I would have liked to get the match dot 2 moa dot.
I just switched over to a burris variable scope, 2-6x or something like that. Its decent. I like it so far. Takes more effort to get on target
