Best bullet you ever shot.

Sorted by what parameter(s) and to what increments please?
I will jump in here.I have been pretty sucessful over the years with SMKs. First sort with Bob Greens tool into 3 lots. Than sort those lots base to ogive usually into 3 lots. Then measure loaded rounds base to live. Usually end up 48, 49, or 50 out of each box of 50 plus or minus .0005. I do not sort by weight normally.

Boy, this is like being asked your favorite food. I'll just keep it to the stand outs.

257 Roberts- 90grn Sierra hp
257 Roberts Ackley- 110grn ELD-X
6.5x284- 140 A-max*
204 ruger- 39 Sierra bk

* - denotes the best groups I've ever shot.

22 cal slow twist, hard to beat Sierra 52 hpbt for a trigger factory bullet,,,,6mm 13-14tw , I'll take the Sierra 70 gr, with 85 hpbt in the middle twist (10), and in slow twist I've never shot anything off the shelf except at p dogs, And those same 85s served well.

As a hunter rather than a competitive shooter the bullets that always seem to shoot well are the nosler balistic tips. The smallest group I have ever shot was from my savage 308w, the load uses varget, cci primers and 150 balistic tips. Hornady amaxs and ssts were pretty close in that rifle but the noslers are just a bit tighter usually.

209gr 32cal Jones cast bullet or a180gr 30cal Lyman was pretty close too, lost a chance on a barrel as a prize with the Lyman, by .004, so they said. Me and another fella had one hole 3 shot groups. Pretty sure the Jones shot just as well, never had it measured with a caliper though.

Sierra 155 Palma (308)
Hornady 55 sp (22-250)
55 vmax (Swift)
180gr 358 ssp 357 Herrett
55 NBT (6x47Rem)
66 Cheek FB 6x50
40 gr sierra hornet (222 and 4 gr unique squirrel load

I shot one of the smallest 3 shot groups ever with the Hornady 55gr sp out of my WOA upper. Love that bullet. Bought em when they were like .10 cents per bullet.

Best that I have ever personally shot would be a toss up between Jef Fowler's 80 grain flatbase and Robinette's 95 grain flatbase.

In this order:
1. 7mm Berger 184gr F-Open
2. 7mm Berger 180gr LR Hybrids
3. 6mm Berger 105gr Hybrids (Barts 105gr Gungnirs are way better but I’m not counting custom bullets)

Dave

I include customs as best bullet I’ve shot. Vapor trails even sort better than anything I’ve tried. These are sorted by OAL in .002 increments , I get three bullets that fall slightly outside my parameter

Nicely done @Tom E
