Neo-X vs Raptor

Thanks for responding Rod. I do not think you have put anyone’s rest down and that was not the intent of my post. I understand how none of us want to get into putting down others that contribute to our sport.

One of the things that I am looking for is the ability to go from a 3 inch stock to a 4 inch stock without having to get tools out. The Neo (which I have owned 2) and Neo X offer this in the 3 piece sand bag set up and it is very convenient when you don’t have a lot of time and want to switch guns. I had and sold a Cicognani that had a similar 3 bag setup.

I now have a 21st Century Hybrid and love it right until it’s time to change out the top to go from three to 4 inches. How does your T3 top adjust? It looks like it may just slide in and out. The Mel and Cicognani had hand manipulated screws that you could loosen and tighten to adjust the width. Is your T3 top set up like that?

Also, what is the Micro Adjustment Block that is offered as an accessory?
Rod doesn't endorse this but I've had zero problems with them. I added handles to loosen and tighten the blocks into position with the gun in the rest. Mine is not his newest block design so he'll need to answer this but there are different holes that can be used to cover different ranges of adjustment without removing them. Mine are in the pair of holes that allows me to adjust from roughly 3-4 inches with no tools using the handles I installed. Looks like it'll be snug on a 4 in forearm extended all the way open using that set of holes. Rod can better address it than I can probably do but here's a pic

This is what I was talking about. I thought I read where you had done this and Rod seemed to think it was not stable?

All I can say is that it has worked perfectly for me. It's a pretty big deal to be able to adjust these things quickly, particularly when sharing a bench and equipment. I know what he told me as well but again, I have had zero issues at all with them slipping or any of that. Rod, it's the only thing I know that I'd change about your rest, buddy. It was just a few bucks and a few minutes to do it, so no real complaints here other than I think you could offer this on your rest without worries. Just my 2 cents.

My top blocks slide in and out. just loosen one bolt and adjust them. the micro adjustment block is new and allows for precise adjustments. Everything is spelled out under the more information tab on my site https://therodzilla.com/
Thanks. I have read everything on your site and perhaps missed it. Does the Micro Adjustment Block adjust by using the joystick, by loosening screws to and then adjusting? Is the micro adjustment only horizontal?

It is just a jack screw mounted on the left side of the top plate for setting the gap between the top blocks. Loosen the left block and turn the thumb screw in or out to precisely set the gap then re-tighten the mounting bolt on the left block. Only works for 3 inch stocks plus or minus 1/4”
