I'm happy with my Garmin Xero

There's just three inventions that have really impressed me, outside of the health care world, in my 78yrs. A chainsaw, an outboard boat motor, and air conditioning. All of which I was unfamiliar with until the mid 50s, they all made a real impression on me.
Now I am impressed again! This "iddy biddie" plastic box called a Garmin Zero C1!!! The first model of anything new NEVER works completely right! This thing does! The most impressive thing is that an absolute computer neanderthal can operate it right out of the box! It does NOT miss a shot! It replaced: two surveyor tri-pods, six sky screens, a 100' of wire, two 35Ps, plus two spares, and a set of overhead lights and extension cords, plus a box of spare parts, extra sky screens, deflectors, rough service light bulbs and no telling how many 9v batteries! All replaced with this!!!!
If you want to work on handguns today, just clamp it to the table, want to work on rifles, just clamp it to anything and point it down range, great piece of equipment.... JohnIMG_20231129_165019509.jpgIMG_20231129_165346930.jpg what I got rid of...IMG_20231129_165752198.jpgwhat I got now

Looks great John!
We better add a round bale hay baler to your list above.

Couldn’t agree more, I’ve used mine in four sessions now. Battery lasts a very long time, hasn’t missed a shot and was within 5-10 of my LabRadar using them side by side. I sold the LR, sold my Magnetos, freed up a bunch of shelf space and couldn’t be happier. I’ve talked it up with a couple friends who gave in and bought a unit, both of them are selling LRs now. If you have a bow, pistols, rifles or want to see how fast you can throw rocks its awesome.

I haven’t tried it throwing rocks if you didn’t get my humor.

So how does it work at a shooting range? with several shooters at the line?
In my VERY unscientific test my buddy stood 3ft to my left and right while shooting the plate rack. I was directly behind the Garmin 15in above the unit and probably 4in behind it. I was shooting a known 1150fps load and he was shooting a known 850fps load and it worked perfectly. We then exchanged revolvers and it worked perfectly. It's the real deal.... John

John are you saying it just picked up the velocity of your gun, and not your neighbors as well?

Im also really into shooting PCPs. I have Daystate, FX, Cricket, and AGT to name a few. Will the Xero work for my pellets guns? Pellet speeds are around 880 fps and slugs at 1050 fps.

My name is John but, not the John you were asking the question to. The benches at our club are crazy close to each other. The other day I had shooters on both sides of me and the Xero did not pick up any their shots.

Yes. Works just fine for that too. I shoot a lot of PCP and I've used the Garmin Xero C1 a lot with it. Has not missed a shot yet.

Benjamin Marauder .22 PCP Field & Target (Regulated) shooting pretty consistently at 830fps+/-
