Jewell triggers

There are almost as many people who want the straight BR as the HVR. And they absolutely positively will not accept anything but the basic BR.
Having a mix of each, there is no performance difference between the HVR with the 'C' spring and the straight BR trigger. Assemble them with the 'C' spring (1.5-3.0 oz.) and include the A&B in the package as they do now. Designate it the 'BR 2.0', etc.

I tried to tell them that, but they won't believe me... hahaha

I never saw so much fuss made over that bolt release. I was told the BRBR won't work "in the stock". I told them if your bedding is so close you can't suffer a 1/32" washer, its too close. :)

But yes, most of the triggers are the same with different springs installed.

This is for Rem 700's....what is everybody using to take the place of the Jewell triggers with the safety and bolt release, nothing seems to get that lite? I still have 1 with safety/bolt release and a BR model put back but would like to find something to replace them with. Have had a Timney which was all right but believe I could get the factory trigger as good as it was...

It actually amazes me that as many serious shooters that there are in Texas and as friendly as Arnold was that there isn't someone that has actually talked to Arnold's son and posted the actual situation on this website?

Maybe it's none of our business. Maybe something bad happened and they don't want their business slapped all over the Internet.

Just speculation.

There are two ways to approach selling...good product at high price to appeal to the select few, or a good product at a lower price to appeal to the masses. Jewell took the later road imo. Its a possibility that their suppliers simply had to increase prices of trigger components and Jewell felt they didn't want to sink money into parts inventory and have to increase prices, not knowing the reaction of their customers?

Yes but it would be nice for loyal customers to know whether to move on or hope for good news.
Unless there are patents involved, and/or proprietary information needed to manufacture the triggers… why can’t they be replicated by a new concern? There certainly is a lot of interest in the product!

Sure would be nice to have the original designs and access to previous records before someone was just to pick up and start with an old design with reverse engineering. Since there appears to be no information available, it certainly limits the players that might want to resurrect the brand.
