Tack Driver 5

Will anyone be trying out a Majesta against the Orangeburg mirage next year
It’s a crapshoot.

With just a little overcast, the 15x55 Night Force works just fine.
However, with conditions like we had in Tack Driver IV, that being not a cloud in the sky, it was VERY challenging.

I suppose you could invest $4200+ in the Majesta and hope for a bright sunny day. If the clouds come in…….

I looked through it quite a bit there as well as some others. It certainly did not perform any miracles. Was it better than some of the others I looked through? In that mirage not really in my opinion. The 80x is far better than the original 80x when turned all the way up. Its actually usable. But it was nicer back around 60x to me. Roys sightron was maybe the best thing I looked through to be honest.

The Sightron SVSS ED is a great scope for sure. Did you happen to look through Bart’s Precision?

Ppl with flags could get their earlier. I was there at 8am. Others at 10 + ...
Setting flags took a couple of "cold ranges" Get their earlier is my thinking. Get on target 1st then deal with flags..

some come after work on Fridays they are in a pickle .....

Some men seem not to deal with stress well. Some get attitudes that only hinder theim selves and others in working together. Some get agitated when they can't do what they want to do when they want to do it.

One on my bench had trouble sighting in his scope It took a couple of 'hot range" between 2 of us.
i tried to be mindful that others needed to do the same But it took what it took. I helped the best i could .
That's 4+ hrs.

Many weren't their to 'test' just to get on target since there are no warmup targets.
I'm sure some wouldn't get off as soon as they zero.

I could only shoot about 10 shots a rifle to get on & decide which to shoot at the match. The pressure was bothersome but i delt with it because i was 1st & 2nd (helper) on the bench.
3,4 &5th did what they could do. We needed another hr.

I'm much "newer" than most all y'all at this game (started in 2019) and am excited I made the commitment to come to TackDriver V! I'm still excited each and every time I go to the range and on average I shoot 3 weekends a month in competition during the season. Made sure you come up and say hello and tell me your screen name so I can associate a face with a post after next year! LOL
