They should only require a single ffl, going and coming, for repair or replacement. Transfers are different but a gun sent to or from a licensed gunsmith or mfg is not a transfer. What do I do to prove that the gun is mine ? I got the gun in 1979 . Do you have to show the people at Fed-X or UPS what I'm are shipping so I can get it returned to me with having to go through agun dealer ? Had to buy a new gun case just to ship it in .
UPS and FedEx will ship a firearm from an FFL but not from an individual.UPS and FedEx?? Neither one will ship a firearm? Sounds like a business opportunity for someone.........
Why does the government get involved with things like this? I would think they have bigger issues to deal with in todays environment
It's a CONTROL thang!!Why does the government get involved with things like this? I would think they have bigger issues to deal with in todays environment
And for good reason. You'll notice they all have security. Running scared!!The current government thinks that we are the issue.

It seems to me Congress pressured them to do this but I don't recall the details.
For intrastate shipments, it can go individual to individual. No FFL required. USPS doesn't even know their own regs, let alone the GCA 68 regs.Wierd flaw in the USPS system is they didn't require a copy or proof that it was going to an ffl or gunsmith.
Any FFL's ever try sending their customer a shipping label? Might bypass the questions.
