New Garmin Xero C1 Radar Chronograph

how is it triggered? the labradar was always really finicky with that, i constantly got error codes or it would trigger on someone a few tables over.

any real world review on triggereing that are not from influencers who got them for free?

I shot at a range for three (3) hours with mine a couple weeks ago. Had a shooter on either side of me. Never missed a shot I took or picked up a shot that wasn't mine.

I can't speak definitively on how it picks up the shot, so I won't attempt to answer that question.

So cool! I'm gonna have to put of these on my articulating arm. I am such a gadget nerd! I considered mounting my Garmin on top of My Rodzilla post, too. But it would place the unit back more than the recommended 15" max distance from the end of the muzzle.
I have mine mounted on a bracket that comes off an Arca rail. It's back by the magazine so WAY more than 15". Never missed a shot on my Vudoo at a match last weekend.

It runs all the time per stuff I've gathered from reading and Valentine V1.

I think it is stuid to jump int he game day one!

I remeber when CD players where $2500 to $3500 in 1988 throught he AAFES. Three years latter I bought one for my car for about $400.

Maybe if you already have a Chrono waiting for the feeding frenzy to die down might be wise. I do understand that the value of the USD is not great and there is a case for buying now!

Just food for thought!

Or… it is the same price as a similar product that’s been around for years in a smaller and easier package, providing better value. I don’t really care if someone gets one or not, but you really seem to want to dissuade others from either trying something new or what fits your perception as expensive.

I had just bought a Labradar ($624.99), QuadPod ($59.95), AirGun Trigger ($44.95), External Battery ($23.99), & Case ($39.95) for a total of $793.83 + Tax.

The Garmin is $599 + Tax and I don't need to buy any of that other stuff to make it work well.

Thankfully I was still in the return window for the LabRadar and sent it back.

The Garmin Xero is WORLD'S Easier to use, amazingly compact, and doesn't miss shots....all while saving me over $200.

It's a no brainer for anyone looking at a Chrono who was considering a LabRadar or other....

It's great to have options! And competition will ultimately work in our favor.

Well I finally got to use mine for the first time today and it picked up every shot and didn't rerquire any fiddling or aiming to get it to work. The only thing I found lacking is the ability to start and stop sessions from the app. I hope they come out with an update for that. It was an absolute joy not to be cussing and ranting on the Labrador (my name for it)

I think of the phone/tablet as a data collection device, not a remote control. It's a button press on the device. You don't even have to have your data collection device connected until your finished. I also see people complaining about not being able to resume a session at a later time. That would be a different session, weather could have changed. Name them session 1A, 1B, 1C if that blows your dress up. I also bet the Garmin engineers smack their heads when they see the plethora of mounts and most are not following the offset schematic that is present when you begin a session. The device is going to measure a V1 and V2 and back calculate V0, if your offset is different, then there will be some error. Not enough to really matter but there are guidelines.

Ordered my Garmin on 10/19 from Garmin. Not in stock. Looked like a 2 month wait. Yesterday cancelled the order and reordered from Scheels. It was in stock. It'll be here tomorrow by FedEx. Price seems to be the same everywhere they are sold.

Just got around to putting mine in this little pelican case.

Thats strange, I also ordered mine on 10/19 and it showed up yesterday.

For simply use, can you shoot 3 shots, view results, and delete the string? Rinse & repeat for load work?
