That moron was an ATF agent. Not a "cop"....Does anyone remember the Cop firearms instructor that bragged through out the course that he was one of the very few people qualified to teach the course?
He then proceeded to shoot himself in the thigh!
So much for instructors!
The other way around would have been worse. LolWorking at a range every day. i get to witness all 7 of these pages every day.
This week we had a guy shoot a 270 round i his 280.
The Stupid ratio gets real high this time of year.
I believe we are below 10th. place in the world for education quality . I deal with guys every day that have no common sense.True story, guy years ago, came into my friends gun shop with a rifle. I believe the day before our Pennsylvania deer season. Barrel was not marked as to cartridge. Friend told him you will have to get your barrel checked first to see what it is.Guy responded with just give me a box of 30–06 shells that should be good enough. Friend told him to go elsewhere for them. I remind myself constantly that we are the greatest nation on the face of the Earth ever and I still believe that. (I also believe firmly that the numbers are dwindling rapidly) Filled with the best of the brightest. And I still believe that. And I still think to myself what must it be like elsewhere?![]()
That was about 6 or so years ago.Just watched the video on YouTube; it was a DEA agent; the idiot has hair down to his shoulders. As he's talking to the class he states that he's the only one qualified enough to carry this Glock 40 as he's holstering the firearm, then it goes off. Sorry, I couldn't stop laughing. If you want to watch it the caption is "DEA Idiot shoots himself teaching gun safety." The one thing I couldn't understand is why someone would think it's necessary to have his firearm loaded, let alone with one in the chamber, when he's teaching a classroom full of kids.
I think that was dwindling about double that time agoCommon sense went out the window about 15 or so years ago!
I deal with guys every day that have no common sense.
Lol no kiddingOnly one?
When I taught it seemed like a near majority on the line on some days were certified idiots.
In RVN they gave us an extra $65 a month, on top of our $140 base pay, to make up for that kind of foolishness.Just a quick recap of the last 2 days volunteering as a RSO for the nearby state owned shooting range, deer season approaching means it's very busy.
Scope mounted backwards-check!
Scope mounted rotated 90 degrees to the left-check!
Got muzzled because people don"t understand how to safely remove 2 rifles from a 2 rifle case- handle the one pointing downrange first, reverse the gun case and then handle the second rifle which is now safely pointed down range-check!
Got muzzled while someone struggles to lock open their M&P pistol with the tiny slide lock/ release tab and is swinging it towards the next booth and the seating bench behind the firing line-check!
Got muzzled while Mr. Tactical Terry outfitted with all the camo/combat gear and bling and bino harness etc, swings his rifle around when behind the firing line and then proceeds to close the bolt and swing it around some more before finally slinging it on his shoulder to leave-check!
Some guy leans forward out of his shooting booth to fire at the target posted at a 25 yard target for a booth that is 4 booths over to his right, so basically 45degrees to his right, and that shot going into the wall after piercing the other booths target backer-check!
I did my best to give these shooters constructive criticism and then an explanation of the proper behavior.
Still like my range time, some body's got to do it.
How stupid has become a badge of honor is still beyond me. If it’s troubleshooting a car, a gun, or most things in life, it’s nice to base decisions on facts and evidence. I want to ring the neck of young coworkers that try to apply their political love of stupid to real world situations requiring good judgement. In blue collar, white collar, or no collar, the rejection of actually wanting to learn from reliable sources troubles me more than anything.
In some places, 50% of people are below average intelligence...
Stupid has become a challenge for most people today. It should be an Olympic Event.
Try most places and more than likely more than 50%.
OMG.In some places, 50% of people are below average intelligence...
