Jewell Trigger Replacement?

We need more than that. Soon being. Month or two? I mean I can wait a little.
They are, worth the wait ! I have one, on my Rem 700 SS "Lefty" in 6 XC and,.. WOW !
Can't remember Model # but, I Paid around $250 with Safety and Bolt release. Best Groups, I've ever shot !
It's set at One Pound, NO slack and very crisp, I could go Less lbs ( into Ounces ) but sometimes, I take it after, Yotes !

Greg, by total dumb luck I recently stumbled on to a small stash of Jewell triggers in the most unlikely of places. Forrest Gump's analogy to life and a box of chocolates would be appropriate. ;)

Good shootin' -Al
Al,
Darn good for you! I found one, a new BR model, listed here a month or two ago, snatched it up on the spot at a very affordable price.

I have a bunch of F-TR rifles, all currently running Jewell HVRTS triggers. I am currently having two more F-TR rifles built and I was "fortunate" enough to obtain two more Jewell triggers right before they became unavailable. However, it is now in my mind to switch the two new rifles to the Bix-n-Andy TacSport PRO-X trigger, and keep the two Jewells as potential replacements/backups for my other rifles. I have heard from various shooters that the TacSport Pro would make a very good replacement for a Jewell. As I understand it, the TacSport PRO-X is the same trigger where Bix-n-Andy came up with a way to better polish some of the internal contact points during the machining process. Both have adjustable pull weights of 3.5 oz to a little over 2 lb. At approximately $250 to $315, respectively, both are a little more expensive than a Jewell, but not nearly so costly as the Bix-n-Andy Competition triggers:

I tried a Timny Benchrest trigger to replace the jewel..
3 to 8 ounce adjustment , 250$ .
So far I am really liking it

I have a jewell HVR right safety sitting in a 22lr hunting rifle. I’m going to take it out tear down and remove the safety clean it all up and just use it. I have a cheaper trigger tech I can use in the hunting 22 lr. I’m just not willing to pay 450 bucks for a trigger when I have been shooting jewell ‘s for 30 years and I would guess ten or twelve triggers over the years and never had a problem with them. Knowing there were more expensive better options out there for me the jewell just always worked. I guess someone will come up with a replacement that would be in the 200-250 price range and work as well as the jewell has. I really can’t believe nobody is willing to manufacture them. Maybe PQP might do it. I think they were making a trigger of their own. So maybe. The jewell is a good design and works well.

Ah I just left the jewell in that 22 and ordered a Sheilen competition trigger. I have never had one. I know years ago a lot of guys were using them. I think I’ll be happy with it.
