Al,Greg, by total dumb luck I recently stumbled on to a small stash of Jewell triggers in the most unlikely of places. Forrest Gump's analogy to life and a box of chocolates would be appropriate.
Good shootin' -Al
A Yes answer would be great news!Wouldn’t that be cute!
Thanks for responding! No. Not true and I have no idea how this rumor got started.
Just a teaser, the BR trigger has four fingers, 5 ball bearings and three adjustments, weight, over travel and sear

I have a bunch of F-TR rifles, all currently running Jewell HVRTS triggers. I am currently having two more F-TR rifles built and I was "fortunate" enough to obtain two more Jewell triggers right before they became unavailable. However, it is now in my mind to switch the two new rifles to the Bix-n-Andy TacSport PRO-X trigger, and keep the two Jewells as potential replacements/backups for my other rifles. I have heard from various shooters that the TacSport Pro would make a very good replacement for a Jewell. As I understand it, the TacSport PRO-X is the same trigger where Bix-n-Andy came up with a way to better polish some of the internal contact points during the machining process. Both have adjustable pull weights of 3.5 oz to a little over 2 lb. At approximately $250 to $315, respectively, both are a little more expensive than a Jewell, but not nearly so costly as the Bix-n-Andy Competition triggers:

I just got a Shilen for My new Kauger Action and like it very much. It seems ideal from the first installation, out of the boxLast month I tried a Shilen on my FTR, very light and smooth, happy so far. So I'm putting another on my 22BR rifle now. Time will tell.
I tried a Timny Benchrest trigger to replace the jewel..
3 to 8 ounce adjustment , 250$ .
So far I am really liking it
