the way the Doctor explained this, what happens is these lower veins collapse, and blood cannot find a way out as the arteries keep pumping it in. The blood, and other goop, settle in the soft tissue and basically rots. The inflammation hits the nerves.
Sooner or later it will break through the skin as the bacterial infection eats away. It then becomes ulcers.
On a scale of of one to ten, I give this pain at least an 8. It feels like a hot ice pick getting stuck in the side of your ankle.
This leads to sleep degradation, which of course is a whole different issue.
The test I went through ruled out heart disease, diabetes, and arterial problems. It’s in the veins.
