Endovenous Ablation On legs for Pain Reduction

Thanks, everybody.

the way the Doctor explained this, what happens is these lower veins collapse, and blood cannot find a way out as the arteries keep pumping it in. The blood, and other goop, settle in the soft tissue and basically rots. The inflammation hits the nerves.

Sooner or later it will break through the skin as the bacterial infection eats away. It then becomes ulcers.

On a scale of of one to ten, I give this pain at least an 8. It feels like a hot ice pick getting stuck in the side of your ankle.

This leads to sleep degradation, which of course is a whole different issue.

The test I went through ruled out heart disease, diabetes, and arterial problems. It’s in the veins.

Any Questions? :)

Prior to my retirement in January, 2015 I assisted in over 100 of these procedures with three different Vascular Surgeons. Patients tolerated these procedures very well with excellent results, and no complications from the procedure, or the MAC Anesthesia. I hope you enjoy the same excellent results from your Surgical Team. Best of luck.

I guess time has finally caught up with my 76 year old legs.

I have been on them my entire life, I still do a lot of walking, climbing, and stumbling around in shop and on job sites.

I have been wearing compression stockings for several years, but lately I have been getting horrendous pain in my upper feet.

I went to a specialist, they ran a complete battery of test, and it was decided that my best course of action is having the procedure called Endovenous Ablation performed on the veins that are causing the problem.

My right leg will be done next Friday, the left the next week. Dr Lee says there is a 90% positive results from this, especially in the elimination of the pain, which is pretty severe.
I have been having my legs worked on since my early fiftys, chin up, it's a breeze!

Well it's now SAT. morning. I just love these posts, then they don't come back and say anything, and don't come back and tell me he's distracted by the pain or anything, I've had ten times the work on both legs in the last 15 years, going thru it right now, hell he hasn't even had the ulcers yet, I've had two open for more then a year now, fighting the INS.CO that it medically necessary.
