220 Russian

I keep seeing all these ads for 220 Russian brass. Are people actually loading for the caliber, or are they using it for a parent case to make brass out of?

I shot a .220Russian for a while in competition and while it was accurate, one had to hold back on full load as the brass tended to lengthen. 3700 fps was top acceptable speed. When I cranked it up to 4100 fps the brass had to be trimmed to length every second firing.

That is the reason to use the Beggs version. Gene's design reamer incorporated a radius at the neck shoulder juncture to eliminate that problem.
