Block the sknot out of the gell coat to help even the highs and lows, pay particular attention to bottom of forend and bottom of butt.
You see a definite seam in the middle length wise.

Yes to both questions. The only caveat is if the standard hanger (I believe it is a 0-30) doesn't properly time your firing pin. If you go with something mainstream like a Jewell or BnA, you should be good with the standard hanger. Your gunsmith understands all this.

okay here is a bore guide question. I have the pma made bore guides for my Hall action, is there any reason why these wont work for a Bat? Just dont want to spend anymore money if i can Help it..
 
I've got you covered if you decide you want a Jewell.

Amy emails me tracking info after the package goes out, typically. It's usually not the same day. Just email her and ask.

I'm pretty sure the Hall boreguide won't fit. Different bolt diameters. A boreguide isn't a place I'd go cheap, personally.

I'm in the process of receiving my 6PPC as well. Actually, the barreled action is ready and waiting on the Master Painter Bc'z to work his magic on my stock. I like the P H bore guides as well.
 
Contact Speedy Gonzales i believe he lives in Texas . He would be able to do your gunsmithing work.
Chris Mackey also sells actions , triggers , trigger guards, and of course barrels.
I shoot with Chris and he will treat you good

I ordered my barrel from Chris.
I got a jewell trigger from a local shooter.
I left Speedy a message awhile back and never heard back..
