I have read quite a few articles bout sss being very slow bout shipping anything.Also it took extended times to get something that was in stock..
Anyone done business with as of late.
I emailed them first part of the week and got a reply today.

If I took the order before the weekend is over, It would be @ 2 weeks.
If I take the order after that, it will be 6-8 weeks.

I know that sounds pushy. LOL

We are just trying to wrap up an extended stock run.
Next week will be our last week on them and then switch over to actions/gunsmithing.

I ordered a single shot sled for a .223 Savage rifle. I never heard from them or received the part. About 3 months later, I received a small envelope in the mail from SSS. To my amazement, the part was there.
 
I dealt with SSS years ago and was happy with them until I was double charged for a muzzle brake to the tune of $170. I contacted Lisa and she said she would look into it. I never received a call or an email back. I then tried calling multiple times and emailing multiple times. In the end she wouldn’t return calls and blocked my emails. I even sent her the previous charge and the current charge to prove it was a double payment. They never rectified the situation and I have never purchased or recommend them since. Proceed with caution.

Have done business with SSS for years with NO ISSUES!
One man shop, time spent on the phone is less time working on your gun.
Last I heard, Lisa was working "out of the shop" so not there to do sales, fill orders, etc.
As far as stocks, someone else was making/cutting the stocks. SSS placed the stock order and waited just like their customers.
Don't like doing business with SSS? More room for other folks. ;)
 
I have dealt with SSS a lot, because everything has always been better than expected. I have had some times where I had to wait.

One of those times I bought a Boyd's stock instead,,,,, never again, I'll wait, and have a perfect stock when I'm done, one I finish the finish on it, but the fit and function will be perfect!

I understand a one man operation doing things the way they do. Prices can only stay the way they are, if he works in batches, such as stocks. He runs them as he said, every 6 to 8 maybe 10 weeks, while he is taking on action, barrel, and other smiting jobs to keep set-up and work area prepped for each type of job. During that time he is taking stock orders and arranging obtaining the blanks to process them in one order.

Plus being the maintenance man, janitor, machinist, and order clerk, I really don't see any other way he can keep pricing as reasonable as it is for a quality product! I'll wait when I want the best, and understand why.

I just wish I was able to trust other options to be as reliable as his finished product. I have learned the hard way, when it is for a Savage rifle,,,, I CAN'T! So now I smile and except it.
 
Sharp Shooter Supply used to have an 'F' rating from the BBB. They are now at 'D'.

I would never order from them. But I would never vote for the POS currently in office in DC, and some people did. Even some people on this forum, amazingly. If you hate yourself, and think you deserve to be miserable (or maybe you enjoy it), then SSS is your huckleberry.

Had my wife order me bolts handles for Xmas 2022. They cashed her check and no bolt handles. So to me that makes Lisa a THEIF. never again and will not stop cussing them! SSS is BAD!
