218 Mashburn Bee

Nice martini, I shoot starline 32-20 formed down in one of my martini killer bee's. It's a lot of work. But as you said, brass is hard to find.

I’d like to give that a try. Some have had mixed results but it’s worth a try. Are you just using type S dies and working your way down then trimming?

I shoot a Martini in 218 M Bee built in Art Mashburn's shop in the early 1960's. Do you know if that's who built your rifle? Art and my father traded guns back in the day.

Not cheap, but you can find brass on Gunbroker. That's what I did for my Ruger #1 in 218 Bee. New winchester brass on GB right now for $1.35 ea.

Nice gun. New 218 BEE brass on GunBroken are around $1 apiece. 218 Bee is a necked down 32-20 or 25-20. A little history; 32-20 is the father of the 30Carbine with rim removed. ln IHMSA Field Pistol, the 32-20 is still popular along with a wildcat called the 30-20

This was purchased by a friend of my grandfathers at a gun show they attended near STL years ago. I wish I knew more about it.

I use rcbs form dies part #58022 .218bee from 32-20. it's a 2 die set. The starline brass starts out a little short so no trimming the length, but the neck walls need to be trimmed. So far the brass is holding up well.
