Favorite Powder for 223 69gr

I think it certainly gets the highest marks for temp stability and SD numbers. So from a one load any day any weather performance standpoint it may be the one to beat. But I think you can get more speed with h4895 and varget. So its not a undisputed win and some rifles may like one more than another for undiscernible reasons.

Nah. Ar Comp will get the same velocities as h4895. But hogdon has lots all over the place.

69 SMK with 23.9 of 8208 at 2.240” or 24.0 of H4895 at same length shoots sub moa in about any rifle I stick them in. I have posted an e target screen shot of this load from a sling cleaning the MR-5 target with a bunch of X’s at 500 yards a few times here already so I won’t clutter up your thread with that again but as the guy on Forged in Fire show says …. “It … will kill.”

I agree with most of the folks here, Varget is the way to go. HOWEVER.... finding it can be a chore. A powder that is often overlooked and available more than most is CFE223. I have developed some very good loads in multiple different rifles with it.
Ramshot TAC tends to show up on the shelves now and again, and it is also a good powder, but I haven't had as much luck with it as CFE223.
Good luck!
