A look thru the borescope.... UPDATED: 6/27

Very early on, with a light load, the gun shot 0.3" at 127 yards. I was at Stan's house when I shot it. :( I then tried to increase the powder charge, but was never able to get much below 0.75".... I even repeated that light load and it grouped poorly.

In all this, I never did proper chamber / carbon ring cleaning....so....
So how does this rifle shoot now?

I'm gonna play with focus first, then take y'alls excellent advice and work on brightness.
Focus is the issue with the teslongs. They make an aftermarket kit that is specific to caliber (I suggest using one caliber smaller) but even the kit doesn’t state whether the new mirrors should be used with or without the locking ring. Once you get the correct focus setting, the teslongs work plenty good enough to tell where you have a problem. It’s no Hawkeye that’s for sure, but more than adequate.

Now that you've got the borescope up and running, you may find that have have a new problem, and it's BAD...Borescope Anxiety Disorder. Every minute speck, flake, chip, piece of lint, mark, etc., no matter how small, will gnaw at your mind until you are able to figure out what it is and remove it from the bore. Don't worry too much, it usually only lasts for the first year or two. ;)

I think the cure (or at least treatment) for that is the groups the rifle actually shoots. If the borescope says "AAAAAAGGGGHHH!!!!!!!!!" but the target says "attaboy!!" ...trust the target. :)

Depending on the model, mine is a WiFi model, I thought there was something on the WiFi adapter that allowed you to increase/decrease magnification or brightness. I'll have to check mine and look.

Was gonna test today but 8-10 mph winds made me wait.
Ahh that’s nothing. Get out there and test. Even in a 10mph crosswind a dasher can shoot 5 shot groups at 100 yards under .300”

At this point, I'm kinda paranoid about everything.
Don’t be. The scariest condition to shoot in is one you’ve never experienced. And I certainly don’t want to be in a competition for me. That’s why I’ll go shoot if it’s raining or really windy. It basically gives me an idea of how I might do at a competition in the toughest conditions.

UPDATE: (after cleaning carbon ring) 224 Valkyrie bolt gun, 100 yds, light winds. Much more what I'm accustomed to this gun doing. Last 2 groups were end of the day, having vision clarity problems, some laziness etc. There still seems to be a bit darker bore from the start of the rifling to 5" down the tube, so more work to do, I think.
