What is America's mood on gun control?

Approximately 1,726,053 guns were sold in May – a record-breaking 80.2 percent increase from last year, according to data released late Monday by Small Arms Analytics & Forecasting, which examines the raw data obtained from the FBI’s National Instant Criminal Background Check System, or NICS. This is the seventh straight month of 1,000,000+ sales (January was 2,591,588).

I'm guessing only a small minority that have big future plans are against the majority owning guns, or at least ones they aren't in control of.

This is never ending, even when we take over congress in November the left will use every available resource to push for "gun control". They will never address the real issues of metal health, one parent homes with no real roll model or no consequences for crime. A good example of leadership is the border crossing, what is the penalty for illegal activity? Come on in! We'll give you money, free health care, and a place to live (screw the citizenry! Judging on what I saw at the range in the last several months, at least half of the rifles sold are AR type rifles. The age of those owners I saw were a mix of youngsters and oldsters. Many of whom were being fired at the 25 yard distance, indicating they were zeroing them in.

It is my belief that the government will try to ban these kind of rifles. The outcry will loud and clear but I think the government will be successful. How they will be able to get them turned in and out of the public hands will be a very large problem.

In a recent survey, Gallup’s Economic Confidence Index "measured -45 in May, down from -39 in each of the previous two months. It is the lowest reading in Gallup’s trend during the coronavirus pandemic, and likely the lowest confidence has been since the tail end of the Great Recession in early 2009. . . Americans’ economic pessimism took a turn for the worse this month".

That aside, lets examine. Saw something the other day that said 11 children die a day from texting while driving. If it is "for the children" wouldn't banning smart phones until the age of 21 provide the greatest savings of young lives?

You left the part out where the teachers, and teachers union have been dumbing down our nations youth for 40+ years now. Gifting the now "educated" week-minded to the Communist via the DemocRAT controlled media.

In the same way that their gun laws have failed to protect people and keep criminals from obtaining them, their outrage has only driven law abiding people to resort to the only means they have of protecting themselves.
