Now I'm upset. Not me... every and I mean everytime I have a new barrel planned I buy enough powder that I need to burn it out, all at one time. I don't care if people think or call it hoarding, I call it smart.
Here's an example. I know I'm ordering another 6br barrel in June. I have primers and bullets. I need brass which I'm going to use 300 pieces of Peterson. I know I need 16lbs. of powder which I will get soon, I already know where to purchase within driving distance to me. Hoarding no, smart yes.
100% spot on!…I've been "hoarding" since I saw the writing on the wall.........that was the Clinton years for me. I don't consider it hoarding as much as preparing.....been consolidating lately to only powders I will use once "it" takes place....and if I have to explain what I'm preparing for.........you're WAY too blind and trusting for me to do you any good. I have more than I can ever use, but I may have enough to supply my family and friends.
This isn't for scalping, blasting, target shooting, or anything of that nature. I've got enough of that type to last me and my immediate family for awhile. My hobby stuff is topped off full.
IF prices drop AND it doesn't hit the fan soon, I will be "hoarding" even more.....a lot more...........if you choose not to, that's on you pal. I'm taking care of me and mine.
Who knows that may be a win-win for everyone! Now I'm upset.
I had to order Lapua brass this morning because SOMEBODY bought all the Peterson.
100% spot on!…
I as well started collecting or hoarding according to the cry babies that procrastinate!… since the Clinton administration and really big time since the Obammy administration and I’m not going to stop anytime soon as long as I still have a income!…. I see this all the time people procrastinate thinking the price will come down…… it doesn’t then they blame people like you and I that think ahead and prepare!… hoard if you prefer that word I call it being prepared like the 5 year supply of food I have!
I bought 4 8lbs jugs of powder in April it was quite expensive….. the most I’ve ever paid, if in fact say next year it drops to $100 for 8lbs
“It won’t” but if it does and you all laugh hahaha you paid $400 a piece for those jugs now it’s only $100 man you was dumb!….. nope not at all,….. I pay for multiple types of insurance every month all year long for the last 40 some odd years that I’ve never used!…. Why?…. Because you need insurance in case something goes wrong so you don’t lose everything you have worked so hard for and this my friends ….. hoarding components is INSURANCE!…
This is my April insurance payments and I plan on doing the same thing this month and if you don’t like it!….. get to the hardware store before I do!..

I live wayyyy out in the country!…. I’m sure I have been on there list for years and really don’t care I have stuff scattered over three states. I thank you though. Other than my town house if any of my other houses or structures caught fire there would be green grass growing before the fire department showed upGood for you...
Not wishing it on you, be careful about advertising how many pounds of powder are there in your household. Your local FD might find out who you are and they invite their friends from another department to escort them when they pay you a visit for exceeding the limit according to their local fire code.
When you find that out please also find out what the income parameters are to be considered "the working man". I hear that phrase quite often in the hunting/shooting world, i.e. "it's getting to the point the working man can't (fill in the blank)".So whats the NUMBER the line that makes you a hoarder say primers for instance
1000
5000
20,000
50,000
1,000,000
Or is it just someones opinion/belief that labels you a hoarder based on their inability to
gather nuts.
So, I have a friend/ relative who wanted to load up some .223. I said I'd give him some primers as he couldn't find any. He came over and I gave him a partial box w 700 fed primers, he insisted on paying me so he gave me a 20. (Box price 35.00 from awhile back) Then he asked if he could buy some more...I gave him his guilt twenty back, so he could buy some at the store when they came in. It's not hoarding, it's preparing.
What's the poor oak gone eat now, he was just preparing for all that building back betterNow this is hoarding or is it.
Yep, I made those purchases of primers, at the elevated primer prices...figuring they would probably go higher as the shortages continued. I'm glad I did, cause I now have plenty, and the prices have gone even higher, ...if you can find the primers. It's nice to not need any, or be out, or ration your shooting, for a good period of time.At one time I said I wasn't going to pay these high prices. I passed on the 450 primers at $419.00 for 5000 shipped. Kinda wish I hadn't, it's the best price I've seen in a while.
