Hoarding reloading supplies?

Yep, I made those purchases of primers, at the elevated primer prices...figuring they would probably go higher as the shortages continued. I'm glad I did, cause I now have plenty, and the prices have gone even higher, ...if you can find the primers. It's nice to not need any, or be out, or ration your shooting, for a good period of time.

I hear you. I've bought 3000 to replace the 2500+ srp I've shot in the last 12 months. I'm getting another 6br barrel next month and want to have 5000 to go with that barrel. When they become available again an I get my notice I will purchase them if another deal doesn't come up first. I'm definitely loading more srp brass these days then lrp. 4 .223 bolt guns and I'll have 2 6br's.

When I was shooting a lot of trap, I would buy in bulk to keep my prices down. Large purchases of powder and primers when it was on sale. Same with wads. I cleaned out a Scheels in IA once of lead shot that they were selling for $18/bag at the time for #8. I carried that mentality with me when I started shooting rifle and was able to procure large amounts of primers/powder and bullets at very good prices. I'm slowly burning through it all but that's what I bought it for. I've rarely if ever have seen the price of firearms, ammo or reloading supplies go down in the 20+ years I've been doing this. An investment today is a penny saved tomorrow IMO.

Dang BC'z if you were closer I'd give you some Varget . I was fortunate when I started shooting the people who I shot with helped each other . And we purchased in volume to get the discount pricing . Our clubs would have group byeing . Looks like those days are gone .
Thanks brother, I know you'd help a fella out.
There's still a lot of good folks out there that'd do the same. Jerry just sent me a Benchsource, Jeff is hooking me up on some Peterson brass. Life is good!!
I scored 5# yesterday for mama's new 6br from Hodgdon, yeah it was expensive but will be well worth it once she starts shooting and whuppin some of the local talent myself included.

I try not to sell any components, but to help out fellow shooters i will loan them stuff. The proviso is that they have to buy it when they see it and give it back to me. So they take the gamble on price but I take the gamble on them being able to get the same component i loaned them. Its worked out ok so far, first time it bites me is when i stop helping my fellow man.
