Benchrest action availability

I’m considering an UL rifle for ARA (don’t laugh Doclu60). I want to start buying the components. Of course the action comes first. There are no 2500 actions for sale anywhere. What gives? and what are the alternatives to the 2500?

I went out to practice some today, winds were stupid terrible! @ 50 yards, I managed fair, but was able to get this one at 50

And this one at a 100

That one at 10 o’clock the wind shifted out at 50 yards.
Action is a Turbo, ammo was practice ammo, SK Pistol Match Special
You might consider a Turbo

I know nothing about UL rifles. I’m not opposed to a Turbo, but it seems the 2500 is the preferred action. Also I’ve read the new Turbo isn’t the same as the previous version. It may be better than the previous versions I don’t know. I’m just wondering if anyone has any info about if and when the 2500 will be available again. If not I’ll look into a Turbo.

How long and where to get a turbo and how much are they?
I put a LBRP (rare bird)V1 Turbo together 2 years ago. Got the action in 1 month from telling Jason Frymier I wanted one. I think it was $1200 Others have had much longer waits than this, some frustratingly so. I met Anthony last fall & found him to be very personable & a seemed an all around great guy. Keep in mind the actions are only small part of what his shop does, & suffers for it. I'm only guessing that he isn't setting up his equipment for one-offs, or to fill in the end of the day/week time. Same as Stiller I'm guessing.

Website still says $1200 but I think they've gone up to $1300+

Appalachian, did you contact Stiller directly? He may have them. Otherwise Bruno's has the 3lug Trident's, or so the website says.

This is interesting information. I have had a V3 RBLP ordered from Jason since before the first of the year. Still haven't see it yet.

This is my turbo v3. Smithed by Zack at old dominion custom rifles. These are 5 shot groups at 50 yards. Does this consistently. Almost to easy. Love this gun

I have been on lists to receive a 2500X since December. I talked to Stiller a couple weeks ago and he said to call back in six weeks. It appears no one has them.

I also have a Turbo V-3 which I recommend highly. I'm new to shooting and just want one of each.

My Recently acquired Turbo is a meticulous shooter. It is a L port/R bolt V-1. The most important part of the build is the Gunsmith and Stocker. They recommended the Turbo because of the quality of Mr. Diorio's work on the firing mechanism, ie bolt.

Turbos, xiii, 2500 are the 3 i see on ara matches.

Watch rimfire accuracy for rifles. Calfee rifles for sale... $$$$.

Go to a ara match with what you have and your ammo and start taking about wanting a UL rifle.
That's the way i got mine. I actually got to shoot 4 rifles that day and i picked one.

Jerry Stiller, Holeshot Arms, has a new 22lr benchrest action about ready for sale. It is called the NITRO and he says it should be available in 2 to 3 months. He is taking orders.
