Seating gone crazy hard

Ok. Got wierd stuff happening ..
Same Brass ive shot in rifle ,Same projectile ,Same seating depth , Same fl bush die ,( wilson ) , Same size bush , Same annealing method , & projectiles have allways seated smooth ,& easy . .
Now all sudden i have Very hard seating pressure . .
Only thing ive done different is tumble brass Then anneal . Has this stuffed my brass. I usualy never tumble clean.
Neck all measure same as before after firing & After sizing .
Has me stumped .
Has All the brass just failed at same time .which is vey hard to believe
Tumbled how? If pins, that is your issue

Ok. Update.
Ive champered case necks . Checked dies. Resized cases after shooting off thosethat where bad . STILL very hard seating. , So ive bagged em up ready for scrap heap.
Pulled out some other adi cases & run thru same die & seated same bullets &, they are Easy to seat back to normal .
So its not my dies . Its Defintly the cases after tumbling . .
So im just going to move on & put it down to ,, tumbing . Going back to my original way that had No tumbling .
Thanks for help . . My 1st time here &, irs a great forum .

Try it again!…. Chamfer,…. Run a nylon brush that fits snug in the neck in and out 2 or 3 times but pick one and do it the same and try seating another bullet! If that don’t work do the same two things and put some graphite in the necks I guarantee the brass isn’t ruined

All that happened there was some Cobb residue left in the necks and when you annealed it flashed and you have a glaze of shit in there!… brass is hard to come by right now if you throw it away throw it to a friend that can use it.

I have no clue who come up with the idea to use ss pins and ultrasonic cleaning but it should have Big Red Letters all over it
“NOT FOR PRECISION LOADING!”

I couldn’t agree more. Why knock off the natural carbon lube left behind after firing. If you do decide to use SS pins, I suggest using imperial graphite lube and finishing seating to depth less than 24 hours before shooting. Otherwise, the velocities seem to be all over the map.

I got the bright idea to clean the inside of my necks with 0000 steel wool one time!…. It was so shiny you could read a newspaper in the reflection!… I loaded up 100 for each gun , light heavy and 11lb and headed for Deepcreek in Missoula Montana, I loaded them long so do a little testing at the match!.. about 2 weeks had passed since I had loaded them first match I got my range box out set up my K&M and it was all I could do to move them and when they did move it was a loud pop!…cold welded themselves!…… shot horrible!…up all night in a motel room pulling bullets dumping powder putting graphite in the neck and reloading them for Sunday’s match……lesson learned!…..

Because annealing leaves such an oxidized coating of the surface (and that coating can have remnants of what was used to clean), I always anneal before cleaning. The cleaning afterwards (still leaving carbon coating in the neck), makes for easier seating than if nothing is done to the neck interior after annealing.
