Hart LV BR rifle

I have a chance to buy a Hart actioned BR rifle with 36 Leupold scope and McMillan stock at a good price. It will make LV weight limit, and I am wondering if it is worth fooling with. It is an older rifle, but in good shape. I believe it has either a Hart or Shilen barrel. Is there any Hart experts that would like to educate me about this rifle? Thanks

The Hart actions are kind of a 40X clone and are a decent action, though not as precisely made as current custom actions. Depending on the vintage, it will either have a Remington bolt or a bolt by Hart. The Hart bolt has a sliding extractor and uses a flat breech instead of the counterbored breech of the Remington.
The bottom line? An action with some potential but not much different than a 40X. The Hart triggers were fine. WH

I cant remember when Don had a Hart. But Tony had a Hart HV and used it mostly when conditions were not switching. It was a real shooter

Then, He could tell you all about it (if you could get past his colorful language). If his wife is still living, she could cook you a wonderfull meal. Great cook
