30 br lv rifle

To comply with IBS regs, weight including scope for an LV is limited to 10.5 lbs. You need a custom rifle built by a good gunsmith, a good scope and reloading equipment, including components. You can find a lot of information here:

At 10.5# it wont be pleasant to shoot. I really see no need for a 10.5# 30BR but thats me. I love Varmint for score and for that game a 13.5# rifle is the ticket!! Even at 13.5# recoil is noticeable. Good luck!! Lee

I had a 10.5# 30 BR it shot very well, BUT unless you are a dedicated shooter who wants/needs to stick with 1 gun a LV 10.5# gun, a 13.5# HV easier to shoot with a shorter learning curve.

The need is this...for the competitor who loves the extra challenge...The VFS LV class (10.5 lbs.) records are separate from the HV class(13.5 lbs.).

I shoot right handed with a 30BR LV. In years past, I have had ten right shoulder dislocations and had the rotator cuff torn twice. Initially I was concerned about recoil, but found that just having it press lightly while touching my shoulder made the recoil acceptable. When you are at the range, try another shooter's 30 br, just touch the butt to your shoulder and keep your eye back.

Thank you guys for the info. I was thinking of going with a panda or bat sv action would glueing one in be ok and if so what would be a good stock thank you
