Looking at all the options in bolt 350 Legends, I would love a Winchester. However, they do not come with threaded barrels. With me running suppressors, it kinda a must. Hate the idea of spending $700 to $800 for a rifle just to turn around and spend another $75 to $120 to thread the barrel. That leaves me with a Ruger American or a CVA. Neither are bad options, but would rather have the Winchester.I am quite sure a better shooter than me could easily get this gun to consistent 1/2 inch groups with a better shooting rest (I just had a sandbag), and some quality handloads.
I bought a cheap Ruger American in 350 Legend. It shoots similar to yours with 200g-250g cast bullets.I just got this Winchester and am very pleased. The accuracy right out of the box is excellent, in less than ideal bench conditions. Four groups starting at 1.79 down to .99 Inches at 100 yards, with factory ammo.

Obviously not all scenarios duplicate each other's. My buddy needs to find tune his set up. Best bullet for the ranges he shoots. We all know of opposite experiences with bullets in all cartridges. I watched Gabe and his kid shoot several deer with the 350L. He's using prototype bullets not sold to the public yet. It's a good round for deer with like anything, limitations.
In this video with a 350 there is a slow motion where you can see the blood flowing pretty strong.
Nice rifle, we took 3 deer with the 350L and the Hornady 170gr SP all doe's none went more than 10 steps also none were more than 50 yard shots.I just got this Winchester and am very pleased. Oh, why thank you! I was just looking on gun sites. guess I will get on Winchester's site and take a look!!!They list at least two suppressor ready XPRs...
It's not what the writers or sellers are saying. The ballistics says it all. It's capable of killing effectively but the person pulling the trigger is most of the problem. Lots of guys successfully doing it. There's bad experiences with every cartridge on the planet. Sometimes it's the bullet or shot placement. Other times it's the user. Many variables.A guy moved into my public hunting area that uses a .350 legend...he's pretty much ruined my spot! He's wounded a half dozen bucks and not recovered one!
I use a 35 grant (300wsm wildcat) and all one shot DRT kills.
In my opinion it doesn't have enough ass to get the job done without perfect shot placement! Despite what the gun sellers/ writers say.
It's definitely the shooter in many cases and in many other cases the bullet.Agree it's the Indian and not the arrow but here in SE PA shotgun/ML now straight cartridge units, have not heard anything good about this cartridge. Disclaimer: been using an SML for the last fifteen years and have never lost a whitetail.
