I think the reason not to is the butt of the bigger jags will be larger than the rod. Thus when yo you pull your rod back out the jag might bump the crown.
That’s a excellent idea!I need to start chamfering the edge of the rod ferrule and the base of the jags/brushes. Something I always think of at the range, but never at home.
