How are you guys travelling for primers/ammo components over in the states?

I have found them online and at a Local Gun Store about 50 miles from here. Can you guys get some Varget put on the boats headed this way?

I hear you mate! Its labelled ADI 2208 here in Oz and I've heard whispers around that ADI here in Aus are prioritizing US the markets over us which sucks abit for us guys here but from a business perspective obviously the main market is the US.
But also that's a whisper which could be untrue so take it for what its worth.

From what I've been seeing locally we still have powder getting around its the primers that are very scarce

Do you guys have any primer manufacturers down there?

Not counting the Gunbroker sheisters there's been primers for sale lately at a few places fairly regularly at 3 or 4 times the price before the latest madness but they dont last long. I've seen mostly CCI, Federal, & a few Remington. Still no Winchester at all here.

Powder comes in spurts.

Bullets are here & gone in a flash too. No 7mm to be found except the heavies, no .35s.

Loaded ammo is coming back. 9mm, 223/5.56, & some of the more popular stuff.

I dont think we do, most common primers here are CCI, Federal and Remington.
Think we get Sellier & Bellot too? But I could be wrong.

Hopefully the shortages dont last as long as what that article states. Couple years without primers would be tough

That’s a real bummer, I feel bad for you guys down under. Hope things get better for you. As for me, I live in northern USA, only an hour from Federal. We are seeing lots of primers here. I’ve bought 6000 in the last month. If I see primers on the shelves I just buy them, because eventually I will use them.

Well deep down I'm hoping that if you guys in the states are seeing primers more frequently now then hopefully we dont have to wait too much longer here in Aus.

I see more LRP Magnums and SRP's than BR's or Regular LRP's. A lot of Pistol Primers too.

I stopped by a gun store in central North Carolina yesterday. They had CCI BR4’s. $20 USD per 100. Too rich for me.

Oh my God! CCI has stopped making Primers!!!

I better run out and buy every last one I can find so I will always have what I need. Seriously, it is rumers like this that contribute to the already diminished supply. It also is one of the causes of high prices. Buy what you need and stop worrying about the distant future. It will take care of itself. Way too much profit for a company to stop make a product with world wide distribution.

As long as the rumors persist the high prices and short supply will continue.
