First things first. Have you run it over a chronograph? What barrel length? For 100 yards you need to be at 1100+ fps at muzzle measured not what is on box or spec.I shot these three groups back-to-back today. Note the flyer in each group at 12:00. The flyer was always the first shot. I cannot figure what the cause is.
The rifle is a Bergara B14R with a Harrell tuner. The ammo was Lapua Center-X. Distance was 100 yards. The groups were shot from a front rest and a rear bag.

Well I did see somewhere where someone bedded the recoil lug in their Bergara. I am considering that.Very strange, seems as though you have isolated most parts of the rifle. If this was a high powered rifle, I would think that the action is moving in the stock on the first round and then is set for the following rounds. But that doesn't seem possible in this case.
That would depend on how solid the action is in the stock. I can really only think of two reasons for this issue being that it is only the first round that is affected from each mag.Well I did see somewhere where someone bedded the recoil lug in their Bergara. I am considering that.
Could inserting the mag affect the seating of the action in the stock?
The contact points will be the whole underside of the action and a small portion of the barrel when I get done bedding it. I removed all of the paint and roughed up the base material of the stock so there would be room for the epoxy.Bed it so contact points are uniform
