Bullet Splash, Part II 204Ruger

What chassis system is that and what mags are you running in it?

Great video...surprised at the 35 Bergers but the 40 BIB's did what they were supposed to do.

Indian Creek Designs from Nampa, Idaho.

No doubt! However, 1/2" of finished poplar is a pretty stout test!

So it appears the two 40 grainers performed pretty much identical. The Berger was 100fps faster, did you load those two 40gr bullets the exact same?

Just about identical.

No, I used AA2520 in the Berger 40gr.
IMR8208XBR in tge BIB 40gr.

That would explain the velocity difference. For this test, since it was about bullet performance and not really accuracy, I assumed you loaded them the same. Yet another example of why you should never assume.

Yes indeed!

I did find an accuracy node with the 40gr BIB and 8208 a few days later!

Why are you shooting at 28 yards..?

In my 1st test, I shot at 100 yards. Imagine walking back and forth 200 yards round trip multiplied by 5 different bullets having to reset the high speed video camera and the ballistic gel every time.
I changed my format distance primarily to save time logistically speaking.

40g BIB looks like it is worth building a rifle around.

Now, I would love to see a gel block shot with a 22/204 with the 53g V max at 3680 fps.
