Biden Calls for Gun Control Measures

How did the 94 bill get passed? I cant remember.

The "assault weapons" ban was an amendment to the 1994 crime bill. It wasn't filibustered in the Senate and passed with bipartisan support 56-43, with 10 Republicans voting in favor (and 9 Democrats, mostly from the South, opposed). Sausage-making at its finest, resulting in the wave midterm election of 1994 that gave Republicans control of the House for the first time in 42 years.

Obviously, the Congress is much more polarized now.

What about the nfa 86?

FOPA 1986 was introduced by a Republican from Idaho and endorsed by the NRA.

How do the Democrats control the Senate with their 48 seats, when the Republicans have 50 seats? I know there are two Independents, but by their own volition they are neither Republican or Democrat. I'm not trying to start a fight, I really am curious about this.
It’s really not that hard to answer questions like yours if you have the determination.

It is 50/50 with the VJ the deciding vote. You missed where we won 2 Georgia seats in Nov., but ingenious voter fraud lost them in January. What you are forgetting are the RINO's- and more and more of them are showing their heads, and with Mitch's and McCarthy's latest actions it ain't lookin' good.
The other thing is the Constitution is now interpreted the way it benefits THEM...and House and Senate Rules will go the same way. There is no "Rule of Law" when it applies to them.
The scariest thing is there is NO pushback to this charade what-so-ever.

Neither Perdue nor Loeffler won a majority in Georgia on 3 November.

Voter fraud committed by Georgia's Republican Secretary of State, the Republican legislature (both houses), or the Republican Governor?
Actually perdue won but didnt win by enough so it triggered a runoff. Neither had a full majority but perdue won- Perdue (49.73%) and Ossoff (47.95%)

Georgia election law requires an absolute majority to win, not a plurality. Hence the top-two runoff elections for the Senate seats on 5 Jan.

They both had more votes than their opponents....in my book and most other states that's a win.....should have been end of story. Georgia made up the re-do rule and now we all have to suffer the consequences. Why would a sane society prolong the election process?
Yes, the establishment GOP stabbed us in the back. This is why I am so worried.

Georgia election law is made by a Republican-controlled legislature and signed by a Republican governor. It requires an absolute majority to win. If a plurality were sufficient for victory, Warnock would have defeated Loeffler on 3 November instead of having to wait another couple of months.
