That is a really good point. As everyone of the folks I know in LE (active/retired) and Military all own personal firearms, so if these commies in Wash DC and some states did pass a law taking privately owned guns away, that would mean theirs also. Only weapons LE/Military would have are government issued.
I'm not so sure? The government has always looked out for their own at some level or another. They seem to always exempt themselves from the laws they pass. I know a lot of retired LEO's who still carry a badge and a firearm.

Nope. I think you will be exempt and will be allowed to keep your personal weapons. You will just have to qualify once a year with whatever you decide to carry.
