Anyone else keep getting asked this question?

About once a day now I get someone that asks....

Hey you reload, I cant find ammo on the shelf right now, do you think you could load me a thousand rounds? Or maybe two thousand if its not too expensive.
Sure do and here’s my answer-

I need you to get me supplied up with unicorn tears and fairy dust and I’ll do the rest

then when I get a dumb look back I’ll tell them that I don’t reload for anyone but me and family because I don’t need the liability and beside that I can’t replace what I would use from my stock so I appreciate the question but the answer is no

No way.
Wonder where you wind up if you reload for someone and they accidently shoot someone? Probably starts with "...if you hadn't supplied the ammunition..."

Aren't bartenders in a similar predicament if they serve an intoxicated person who then winds up in an automobile crash? Not sure but I think there is liability there.

Get asked the question regularly, the answer is always no. Many of my friends refused to build a stockpile during the good times. Guess I will have the range to myself. Had a close friend call yesterday, telling me he was at a large sporting goods store, only to find no reloading supplies. Same guy I have been telling to up his inventory since early last year. My tears are all dried up.

I get that question and also "Will you teach me how to reload?". The answer to the first one is a hard NO. The answer to the second is, "once you get everything it takes to reload and get it set up, give me a call and I'll come show you how". Actually had one buddy do just that! He calls all the time for pointer. Good on him!

I have one wanting me to teach him to reload. I will invite him to come watch me do a hundred semi match prepped 308s or some thing similar. When he sees how long it takes to prep the brass he will never even consider buying a press. I taught another a few years back and he loads a lot. He even loads 9mm, very few find that a worth while effort.

No one has enough stock to load and sell , would take the deal if I did . Even now someone getting interested in rolling your own , is a bad time , nothing to buy except the equipment . Find bullets , powders and primers. I'm sure this will pass too. The big BUT is when.
