Ranger, I have the exact same thing happen last year with FedEx. I live about 2 minutes from a large FedEx terminal. Fenced up like a prison. I managed to gain access through an unlocked gate I found. Finally got face to face with the manager. Package was quickly delivered to me. No problems since, must have a check mark beside my address now.I see this problem only getting worse with huge increases in online shopping spurred by ridicules lockdowns.I've got one for ya,
I was waiting for my new scope from LanceXXX of course it took 3 days
longer than it should have, but I tracked it and was out for delivery, so I heard
the USPS jeep coming and was waiting at the door. The worthless driver put a note
in my box with the other mail saying I wasn't home and they would make another
delivery tomorrow. I watched her drive off. WTH
So I ended up having them hold the pkg and picked up the next day.
Too lazy to get out of the vehicle and come up to the door. Piss poor service.
That's sarcasm, right? We shoulda gave them the money nancy said they needed. Wouldnt be having this conversation
I think some snotty nosed brat ate your candy....lolI ordered a Halloween Special from one place to get the free shipping and extra "Halloween Treats". I'm still waiting on that one too. Starting to feel tricked but the sender says it's still out there...
UPS isn't any better. I had a UPS package (pistol being returned from mfr) go from Tampa to Ft Lauderdale in a day and a half, then sit there for over a week. Then an e-mail saying it would be delivered "tomorrow", while tracking showed it still in Ft Lauderdale. Took the day off so I could sign for it; the next day I received 2 e-mails, one saying out for delivery, the other saying delayed to the next day. Later that afternoon, another email saying they couldn't access the delivery location (regular residence; no fence or gate or anything.) Tracking still reported Ft Lauderdale. The next day I happened to catch the UPS truck as I headed out for a meeting, and was able to get the package (driver recognized me.) No signature required (despite having it on the tracking emails and on the package itself.) Didn't get a chance to check if it was still in Fla or not.I guess due to the CV19 and so many people doing online shopping the USPS is slammed.
I have several Priority Packages in Limbo land.
One from 11/25 and some from 12/2 just in a holding pattern.
Tried to contact P/O customer service a bunch of times just got a recorded message and then went on line and filed out the form and then got a call back. I didn't answer it, they left a voice mail (didn't recognize the #) called back got a fax link.
The caller said the packages were not at the depot(no kidding). Where are they?
I understand they are slammed but dang answer the questions better.
I can rant real nasty but it doesn't get you anywhere.
I'll use UPS from now on.
Thud
Dusty, How does Amazon do the job they due without the tax money and a union? USPS has been overfunded for years. They lack leadership at all levels. I live a couple doors away from a retired Postal superviser that told me anytime he came up with a cost cutting program, he was taken to the woodshed. That`s the problem. I think the same leadership issues exist at Fedex and UPS. JeffWe shoulda gave them the money nancy said they needed. Wouldnt be having this conversation
