are u talking about the JARD trigger for the 3 position? Yeah, they offer it for ~50, so that's almost ~300 for a trigger system for a savage.Yup, and don't forget that you need to order their 3 position safety, if like me, your rifle has the 2 position safety.

Dan, you and I are on the same wavelength my friend!Rifle Basix.... priced right... works right... what else can be said.
Going that light will sure teach you to pull the trigger straight. The red blade Target Accutrigger can be made to operate reliably at very low pull weights. I have retrofitted all my model 10-12 varmint rifles with the Target Accutrigger and all break well below 6 oz. Shims can be installed to help with the unintended sear tripping, and springs can be changed out with lighter ones. Best of all, I retain the three position safety often not available using an aftermarket trigger, and they're inexpensive. I've never paid more than $75 for a good used Target Accutrigger, and I got two (less sear) for free.
I only use these rifles for benchrest shooting. I would not take one into the field with such a light pull weight.
Where are you?I have been fighting a SAV II for a couple of weeks. Burned up an afternoon with friend trying to get it to work.
Worst thing is the inconsistency of the sear.
Am about at the point I wish I had the factory precision trigger.
Watched the video over and over with no better luck.
I have no idea how you guys are getting much below a pound with out it firing from the bolt closing. We thought we had it a couple of times, then sear engagement went to crap again.
Am at my wits end with this.
Rifle wants to group, but the inconsistency in the trigger is ridiculous.
Is the sear clean and dry? No lube?I have been fighting a SAV II for a couple of weeks. Burned up an afternoon with friend trying to get it to work.

On my SAV-2, almost get zero slam fires at 8.5 Oz. At 6 Oz, forget, I get bolt slam fires too easily. I am using the "red" light spring.I have been fighting a SAV II for a couple of weeks. Burned up an afternoon with friend trying to get it to work.

When I had a problem getting one of mine set up, I called him and he was very helpful on the phone. Took the time to walk me through it and when it still didn't work right, he determined that a part hadn't been machined to the correct angle and sent me a new one asap. Worked perfect after that. Give him a call.I have been fighting a SAV II for a couple of weeks. Burned up an afternoon with friend trying to get it to work.

I run my sears dry. They run great. Many thanks gents.
There is a slight bit of grease on the sear, just as video shows.
This trigger came with the rifle. (Not PO’d at seller by any means).
This thing had burrs all over it. Only a few light strokes with a hard stone and they were worked off. It only had contact on a small bit of the sear. Now it’s 100%.
Almost zero slam fires, not acceptable for me. Have been around such before. Makes me jumpy as a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs.
Should have called at least by the third go around with it.
Call him. He is very helpful and will send you a new one if that's the problem. I love mine.Spent a couple hours with the Rifle basix replacement trigger/spring on a Savage 110. Terrible finally left at 2.5#, safety and sear working properly. Waste of money, I have always hated Savage triggers. The sear on the RB was terrible.
