I have decided that I want a .222 Remington again. I let a nice 722 with a Douglas barrel go back in the 60's. I like target shooting (100 & 200 yards) and maybe some local BR competition.
Since I do not have anything to start with the question is what to get. Probably a Remington 700 action because that is what I know. Either a 12 twist or maybe a 14 like all the older Remington's had (for 52 grain target bullets). So it really comes down to whose barrel, what chamber, barrel contour, barrel length, chrome moly or SS?
Is a barrel tuner practical on a .222 Remington?
