New gun owner!

I took a friend shooting a few times. He liked it so much, I gave him my Tikka T3 Varmint in .223, mounted in a GRS stock. He bought one of my SIII 10-50s to mount on it. Off he went to practice. He had seen my home made stocks and asked if I could make him one. A year later, I finally got around to it. I finished the stock and put the gun together Friday. I called him up and we took it to the range Saturday to do some initial load testing.
I put some Sierra 77s and Varget into some LC brass for him to try. I set the bullets at “touch”.
He and the gun shot pretty well. The Tikkas proved themselves as good shooters once again.

These were shot at 100 yards. I’m going to load up some 24.1 and play with seating depth.
Before we left for the range, I asked him if he ever shot an AR. He said no, so I threw one in the car.
He liked it. He’s hooked! Now I’m going to get him into reloading!:-)

lol lol tell him he will save a boat load, reloading.

Did you tell him that as soon as he buys his new AR it will be registered, confiscated , or put into the NFA ??? :)

How could you do such a thing!!! Now another addict fighting over a dwindling supply of primers , powder and ammo. This post is very heavy on sarcasm, a cheap redneck form of humor.

I'm going to start calling Josh, "The Professor". When I see him at the range he's always holding a class, and a darned good one too! a-worshipl.gif

Used equipment at todays market prices.............Josh is on to something.LOL
Nah! Christmas is coming! Last fall, I sent out a request for used equipment and bought a couple presses. The Members here responded wonderfully! I still have a press left, a scale(tho not a Parker tuned one) , etc., etc. Enough to get him started.
This is a really nice guy. Workaholic. The only reason he curtails his busy schedule is to take care of his 90 year old father, a retired Marine and Police Chief.
These days, he’s fixing up the local VFW on weekends, free of charge.
I thought he deserved a little kind attention. ;)
