Replacement Primer Jar for Co-Ax Press

Keep the top and go to the container store if one in your area or a hobby shop that sells small jars of paint.

Just watch the ID of the tube. The inside of my metal tube has gotten dirty enough that large and even some small primers get stuck. If the plastic tube is stretched to fit on the metal tube, it's ID will be smaller.

Or get the nearest I’d that slips over the tube (5/16 OD if I recall correctly) and clamp it with a worm drive clamp.

There's one here

What’s harder to find is the old spent primer tube that screws into the older Forester press. Does anyone have one of the older Forester tubes or would you be interested in making one? A premium would be expected.

I can help with the dimensions.... I have one in mine...

it is threaded into the base of the press (5/16 NC, IIRC) and then the end is flared 37 degrees. Since mine is like that I added a 37 deg JIC sleeve and flare nut, fitting and hose barb on it to add a hose.

I tried to attach a couple of photos, but I get error messages that they’re too large?

I forgot to mention, that I had to drill out the stainless fitting to 1/4 bore as the fitting will hang up primers. But that’s an easy fix.

Can the older smaller diameter tubes be replaced by the larger diameter tubes? Would require drilling and tapping to the new larger tube size
