Just as the title says how to paint a wooden stock.
Rifle was built by Zack @WSMNUT, and his right hand man Kevin @Hntndad.
Kevin did a outstanding job of relieving this stock to give me ample clearance.
This is a prototype of the "ABR"
Adjustable Bag Rider.
I'll be painting a kestros for this demonstration
Bodywork is complete, primed in simtech polyester
Step 1 the foundation, I used ocher and white blended as my ground color.
Then taking poster board I tore irregular edges to air brush my heavy grain.
this gets clear off to protect the foundation from the next step.
The grain, I used a scotch brite technique here. Spray and work small sections using slow solvent to give work time. Customer was concerned about where cut outs were not showing the white core.
I seriously told him to relax I got this.
2nd clear coat to lock it down.
this clear is just to level the surface to get rid of texture created from wood grain.
Hold off on any comments good or bad there's more to come
