Peterson Brass for .270 Win. - Anyone with Experience?

I've just recently noticed that Peterson Brass is now making their brass in .270 Win. I'm working up some handloads for a Sako rifle in that cartridge and am wondering about the quality of the Peterson brass in hunting cartridges. I was hoping to be able to use Lapua brass, but they don't make it in .270. Is Peterson as good--or better?

Does anyone have first-hand experience with this brass, particularly in the hunting cartridges?

I use Peterson brass and I really am impressed with it. I believe it is as good or better than Lapua. I don't shoot it in the .270 win but in 6mm's and really like it. I don't think you would go wrong purchasing it.

Agreed since Lapua doesn’t make 270 Win, it’s safe to assume the Peterson will be the same/better quality compared to Norma, Winchester, or Nosler.

Peterson brass is the top of quality regarding my statement and superior then Lapua.I use them in SRP version on .243 , 6XC and .308.
I hope the offer the 22-250 SRP in future ,lets wait what happens
So i believe YOU make nothing wrong to go stright on with
.270 Win as well .

In my opinion you cannot get any better. I got 50 reloads on my .308 brass 1st box I bought and finally one case neck split and I do anneal. The case neck thickness is very close to being the same all around. Within .0015 or less most of the time. And the primer pockets are still tight. My hunting buddy just got some in 270 win and really likes it he has not shot it much but so far so good.

Looking at the drawing process on their website if they can draw .270 cases then how much harder could it be to produce 6.5-06 or .25-06 cases?

My Peterson 270 Win brass started to have incipient case head separation after the 3d firing. First two loads were neck sized only with bullets jammed in the lands to fire form the brass. Where the separations were starting had the same thickness as my 6 time fired Winchester brand brass, but with .003" more variation in thickness. I have sent Peterson all my data that they have requested with no further responses from them.

Peterson makes great brass but I wouldn’t spend that much money on a 270. You can get starline for about $0.50 each and it’s in stock. I’ve also worked up good loads with Winchester.
